To reimagine the legacy of Mountain Designs, we pulled together an all-star team of creative talent – Director and Producer Luke Knellor, DOP Hayden Griffith, and Photographer Tim Clark – to craft a cinematic brand story that captures the soul of Australian adventure.
This wasn’t about staged shoots or marketing gloss. It was about truth. About honouring the deep heritage of Mountain Designs while making it feel fresh, alive, and relevant to today’s adventurer. We asked a simple but powerful question: what is adventure, really? And how do we pass it on?
Filmed across iconic Australian landscapes, from misty ridgelines to sun-scorched bush trails, the project celebrates the intergenerational spirit of exploration. It’s about the transfer of knowledge, the timelessness of gear that lasts, and the moments that shape who we become in the wild.
The visuals are rich, grounded, and unfiltered – just like the brand. We blended archival footage with new material to bridge past and present, wrapping it all in a tone that’s nostalgic, hopeful, and real.
The result? A bold, authentic piece of work that captures what Mountain Designs has always stood for – gear that gets you there and back, again and again. This was adventure filmmaking with heart, brought to life by a team that lives it.
